Not particularly, Microsoft beat them out of the gate last time and Sony benefited from the extra time by beefing up their console. Not to mention their lucky break that Xbox's were red ringing all over the place around the one year mark.
And as for bitterness, I only feel that way toward Microsoft when I came to the realisation that I was paying a gold subscription for what I could do on the PS3 and PC all along for free. Not to mention their constant renovations to the ...
I sincerely hope not, I'm up for innovation but sometimes things have to die.
I agree, Sony will have more time for their games and if they have an impressive line up like I'm hoping it will, it'll be a spectacular show. However, if Microsoft announce a console at the same show, the gaming press will more likely want to cover their new console along with any games they are showcasing around the same time.
I truly am looking forward to E3 and indeed the 20th because Sony and Microsoft along with their 1st party developers have mostly been keepi...
Don't get me wrong, I would like nothing more than two great systems this year and this was simply a speculation I cobbled together to get a conversation going. Calling it 'premature' may have been a mistake but then again without knowing how it will pan out, who can say it might not be?
I would remind you all that this is what I said, that Sony have the spotlight right now and if they hold their games until E3 they will probably be successful, if they reveal too ...
With the more powerful hardware you'd think that the PS3 version would be more dominant. But since it's up to the developers and it is well known that developing for the PS3 is a more demanding task, the PS3 version will only be as good as the effort that Ubisoft put in.
It's good that the PC is an easy platform to updates games for, I can't really say the same for the PS3, when the game finally arrives for it.
I really like the art style, i hope this boxart stays the same in all regions.
I remember e-mailing Criterion and getting a nasty e-mail back, i won't be buying this out of spite xD
It's set to promise more than the previous game in both abilities, tools and even game genre, but will it still have that pesky thermometer allocating the limited space?
I doubt that Activision should worry, especially since Modern Warfare 3....i mean, Call of Duty 5...6..7? is on the way. People will buy it for the name alone, at least until the repetitive gameplay becomes too much.
A constantly changing battlefield may be a new big thing for shooters, there isn't much in the way of innovation in the genre but this sounds quite nifty. I only hope that some sort of multiplayer will take advantage of the same feature.
I'm not sold on it, sounds like a copy and pasted Call of Duty made from previous installments. But then, what can you really expect from a series that relies on it's samey game experiences to keep fans happy.
I remember playing a preview of this, sad to see that they didn't spend the time to fix ANYTHING.
I need to check out these Razor mice, i just have the bog standard that came with my PC, need something better for Starcraft 2
sounds interesting, but was the 'less clothes' option truly necessary?
The "Forge" application sounds interesting, a good chance for people to create their own experiences, like the board game of D&D
Are light gun games really that appealing on consoles? The last one i played was Crisis Zone on the Wii, playing with the WiiZapper was in no way as much fun as an arcade set-up.
Saying that Japanese Developers need new IPs to cater for Western audiences is like saying that Western Developers need to do the same in kind for Japanese audiences. Sure there's more potential to make money from a bigger audience but solely concentrating on the Japanese audience can still be profitable. I don't think they 'need' to do anything, just make great games like they're supposed to.
Good to see some features that reward fans of the series, other companies could learn from it/
Premature probably isn't the right word to use as I wanted to emphasise on the secrecy surrounding it and how Sony are cutting their 10 year plan short to unveil a possible new console.
But I do like it when people throw the term 'troll' around, it's brilliant for when you can't think of an intelligent response.
